"Our department at the council provides a range of
services to the communities of South Gloucestershire, such as economic
development, libraries, arts & information, support to voluntary &
community sector, development of new and rural communities and community
learning.
By subscribing to GuideStar UK's intelligence service we are enabling council
staff to access intelligence data on our local third sector in order to make
links with appropriate organisations and to enable us to make informed
decisions in planning our services, strategically.
The service has been very useful and has helped me engage with local community
and research an organisations credibility, their management structures and
implementation of policies etc. This increased personal knowledge has also
helped me to make informed options regarding allocation of resources for a
specific service delivery program".
