The Charity's objects are to relieve suffering in animals belonging to people unable to afford the services of a veterinary surgeon in private practice (in receipt of certain means-tested benefits, or bona fide homeless). We also assist animals in the care of other local animal welfare charities and similar-minded other organisations and individuals, and animals of unknown ownership, where appropriate. Further details of eligibility and available subsidies are obtainable from the charity's website www.worthinganimal.co.uk or from the Clinic.

How to help this charity (Additional information provided by charity)

The charity always needs help with fund-raising, publicity and committee work. We need Committee Members/Trustees and recruits to our Fund-Raising Team, organising fund-raising events and approaching charitable sources and local businesses for grants and donations. We also need people with professional or business skills to support our committee in dealing with charity trusteeship, business management and public relations. A veterinary surgeon, perhaps retired or semi-retired, willing to become a trustee, would also be particularly welcome.

Details of numerous opportunities to help the charity are at http://www.worthinganimal.co.uk/help.

Those interested in remembering us in their Wills may obtain a copy of our "Wills" leaflet from the Clinic, tel 01903 202248.
